Introducing MeloMax: Reclaiming Attention
Introducing MeloMax: Reclaiming Attention
MeloMax is an app designed to help you move from compulsion to control. It’s about training ourselves to not reach for our phones, resist doomscrolling, and rebuild attention spans. I’ve been building it with one goal: make it effortless to step back, refocus, and stay present.
The Core Concepts
MeloMax is built around a few simple ideas:
- Attention is trainable: practice is more reliable than willpower.
- Less phone, more presence: reduce triggers that pull you into scroll loops.
- Micro-rituals that stick: short routines you can repeat daily.
- Gentle feedback loops: notice progress without obsession or guilt.
- Private by default: local-first with no required accounts.
What It Does
At a high level, MeloMax helps you:
- Interrupt doomscrolling moments with a clear alternative
- Create a short reset ritual you can actually repeat
- Stay grounded through brief, low-friction checkpoints
- End with a clean, satisfying finish
Think of it as a lightweight layer between impulse and intention.
Simple by Default, Deep When You Want It
If you’re new to focus tools, you don’t need to track a single stat. MeloMax works out of the box with zero setup. If you are a sleep-tracking nerd, there’s a deeper layer waiting for you too.
The app is free, local, and private. No auth, no account, no cloud requirements—ever.
Built for Apple Watch and iPhone
MeloMax is ready for Apple Watch and iPhone and will be in the Apple Store soon. The Watch experience is intentionally minimal and tactile, while the iPhone app offers the deeper setup, personalization, and session summaries.
What’s Next
I’ll be sharing more about the build process, design decisions, and the system behind MeloMax’s attention training. If you’re into focus tools or reclaiming your attention, you’ll feel right at home.
