Real2Sim Room Scanner
Walk your phone around a room and it writes out a MuJoCo scene, floor extent, furniture and walls as solid geometry, so a policy can meet your coffee table in simulation first.
The short version
Real2Sim Room Scanner does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you do in the app is sent to me or to any third party.
What the app does with your information
- Scanning happens entirely on your device. Camera frames and depth data are processed locally and are not uploaded.
- The scene files it writes are yours: they stay on your device until you choose to share or export one.
- Real2Sim Room Scanner has no account and sends nothing to a server.
Permissions it asks for
- Camera
- Real2Sim Room Scanner uses this to scan the room with the camera and, on supported devices, the LiDAR sensor.
If you decline a permission, the feature that needs it stops working. The rest of the app carries on.
What is stored, and where
The scans and scene files you create, on the device only. Deleting the app removes it.
Children
Real2Sim Room Scanner is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If the app ever starts handling data differently, this page changes before that version ships, and the effective date above changes with it.
