What it is

The Robot Registry Foundation is a public registry for robot identity and compliance. Every robot gets a permanent Robot Registration Number (RRN); every model gets a Robot Model Number (RMN). Ownership is proven with Ed25519 signatures, and submissions are verifiable end-to-end.

The compliance layer

Five EU AI Act-aligned endpoints are live, each mapping to a section of the RCAN spec: a Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment, a safety benchmark protocol, instructions-for-use, post-market incident reporting, and EU register submission. Each has a canonical schema and deterministic JSON serialization.

Why it matters

The things that increasingly decide and act in the physical world should be legible, signed, and accountable. The registry is the public-facing half of that belief — the part anyone can inspect.
