Duck Diary
A diary the robot writes itself: distance walked, times it fell, minutes upright, reduced by a specified algorithm so two people watching the same robot get the same diary.
The short version
Duck Diary does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you do in the app is sent to me or to any third party.
What the app does with your information
- Duck Diary reads your robot's telemetry over your own network. There is no account and no server.
- Diary entries and milestone records are written and signed on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- The signing key is generated on your device and stays in its keychain.
Permissions it asks for

- Duck Diary uses this to read the robot's state stream directly on your own network.
If you decline a permission, the feature that needs it stops working. The rest of the app carries on.
What is stored, and where
Your diary, milestone records and signing key, on the device only. Deleting the app removes it.
Children
Duck Diary is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If the app ever starts handling data differently, this page changes before that version ships, and the effective date above changes with it.
